The Key

The key
to freedom
in the kiss of
a wife (who would
think) this muscular
spectacular and mess
of flimdoodle all rolled
into one, handcuffed and
photographed, handcuffed
and photographed, over and
over like a local thug except this one
kept escaping underwater, in a box,
upsidedown, off a bridge: a Jewish
kid from Appleton turned into
(he said) the only superhero
who was ever real but
think what it meant
for—think what
it asked of
—her.
