Chunks

The upstairs bathroom and your own room
The kitchen and your own room
The living room, back hall, and
your own room
The dining room, front hall, and,
“Hey, whose dirty sock is this
in the dishwasher?”

Chunks: a household  system
weekly noted on the Monet calendar
of chores kids never had to do
at Giverny.

Who’s on dog?
Who’s on mail?
Who’s on mow,
rake,
shovel?
“Snow, or poop? Aw, come on!”

Scour, mop, dust,
vacuum,
feed,
walk.
“That’s not fair! She went to the park.”

Clutter alert!
Clutter alert!
Get it done.
Check it off.
Work that chunk.
"Cause Mom said. That's why."
